My Creativity

Some ways I see myself as a creative are... I am really good at telling stories. I love fiction books, I'm pretty sure I can write one but I have so much flowing through my head I don't know how to get it all down on paper in a way that would sense. Also, My older sister and I when we were much younger would always get into trouble and whatever we did I always found myself having to telling a softer version of the story to my mom so we didn't seem like it was all that bad. What I'm trying to say is I have a creative mind for thinking of ways things could have been or, will be. This is why I wanted to pursue being a lawyer. As a lawyer your job is to find creative ways to manipulate the story in order to fit your side. This is where my talent lyes but as I mature some roadblocks I have encountered have been the fact that I feel some ideas are basic, or obvious. As I age I figured welp, everyone has already had that idea. Which is not always the case but even if it is that doesn't mean I should just give up looking for a solution.

  1. I absolutely love the fact that you're using what you've grown up with, creating stories to not make it look as bad (in your parent's perspective) and perusing a career with that skill. I definitely relate with you on the one where it seems like a basic idea because many people have thought of a certain solution. I feel the same way when drawing something. What I would say is that your style matters. It may be the same, or similar, but how YOU deliver it is what makes it unique :)
