taking risks

I once took a risk  and moved out of state after high school. I wanted to move so that I could get out of my bubble and honestly away from my family in order to really explore who I am as an individual. I went to Arizona and while I was there I attended Grand Canyon University. Ill be honest I only went to that school because it was cheap and far enough away, I didn't have a plan for what I wanted to do just yet. When I got there of course it was hard to say goodbye but if I'm telling the truth I was perfectly happy and comfortable away from home. I thought it was going to be this massive adjustment and in some ways it was but for the most part I was the happiest I have ever been. It was fine for a while and I only missed home when I would get sick, which for some reason was very often. Of course though there was the aspect of school, I had a year to think about what I wanted to do in life and even though I'm still on the fence it was clear GCU did not have what I needed i...

My Creativity

Some ways I see myself as a creative are... I am really good at telling stories. I love fiction books, I'm pretty sure I can write one but I have so much flowing through my head I don't know how to get it all down on paper in a way that would sense. Also, My older sister and I when we were much younger would always get into trouble and whatever we did I always found myself having to telling a softer version of the story to my mom so we didn't seem like it was all that bad. What I'm trying to say is I have a creative mind for thinking of ways things could have been or, will be. This is why I wanted to pursue being a lawyer. As a lawyer your job is to find creative ways to manipulate the story in order to fit your side. This is where my talent lyes but as I mature some roadblocks I have encountered have been the fact that I feel some ideas are basic, or ...

inspiring creativity

It is hard to force inspiration... With that being said, how could an individual spark up enough creative juice when presented with a project on the spot. Well, we see this happen all the time whether you're at school or at work people will be presented with a problem and have to think of a creative solution. A way to inspire on the spot creative thinking is to go blank. When I think about the task at hand I end up over thinking and nothing ever gets anywhere, when I have a brain fart, or I'm taking a test, or trying to decide what to wear I honestly allow my mind to think about other things. I go blank and play with my nails or hair, sometimes ill just start drawing and I wait for the answer or idea to come. For me it does not take that long but it can, and if you feel like allowing your mind to wonder into other thoughts for too long another solution could be to replay what you already know. If your task was to make a poster you could think about every poster you have ever s...
