The Index Project

A company called Neutral has designed an app for people to use in order to track your online order emissions over time and receive helpful tips to improve shopping habits. The goal is to promote responsible consumption and production. The paperclip

It's so funny to me, such a simple design has actually become an extremely useful tool for paper organization. The question is.... what more could a paper clip be? When repurposing objects I like to think of it from what I call a 'little mermaid perspective', in the movie the little mermaid Ariel would find objects from the surface and try to make sense of them seeing as how she lived in the ocean and has never seen anything like it before.  So if I were to look at a paper clip for the first time and ask what is it, what would make the most sense? My first thought that came to mind is that it could be a piece of jewelry specifically an earring because of its light weight and semi sharp ending. The design of the paperclip is simple and stylish, with makes for a not so obnoxious dangle earring.
