My best friend Kira

Image
I wrote my essay on one of my best friends since I was little. Her same is Kira and something I forgot to put in my essay was how much of a impact she has had on my life. Kira has never failed to be there for me. She has inspired to me to be who I am and to be confident even when I don't feel at my best. Being female I think I can speak for the rest when I say I don't think I'm beautiful alllll the time and I struggle with often and Kira constantly reminds me that I am perfect the way I am. Kira's creative aura has transformed the way I see the world and her determination to continue evolving has pushed me to continue to do better for myself. I think we can both agree we would be the women we are today had we not been in each others lives and that is a blessing. To see more of her creativity and fashion (she makes cloths) following her insta @kira.jeann

Hawaii

The moment I first got to Hawaii I felt like  I was on another world. The atmosphere was completely changed, I felt excited yet calm. The pineapple tasted so rich and juicy, the ocean was incredibly warm and inviting. It was paradise for sure nothing less, the waterfalls were breathtaking and the sun sets everyday never failed to amaze me. The people there were so rich with life and I never wanted to leave. There was so much to do with such little time, I have to go back. During my stay we explored town, sat at the beach, road jet ski's ( and got visited by some wild dolphins in the middle of the ocean), we snorkeled and ran into some sea turtle (the highlight of my trip) and ate AMAZING food. What drew me into Hawaii was the ocean. I love to swim in the ocean especially snorkel/ scuba dive. There is is much life in Hawaiis waters and I could really spend a week on a boat there just chillin. The other thing that made me fall in love with Hawaii is how lush it it. I love bein...

the new me

Something new that I have learned over this semester about myself is that I matter too. Being in this pandemic and doing online school and also working has taught me that no matter the circumstances I never slow down to check in with myself, its always go go go go.  We basically had mouths to be slow because the country shut down and still I was overwhelmed. I think this class specifically has taught me its ok to be still. I am human and I am entitled to my feelings good or bad. I think I tend to put a lot of things before my health and well being because I feel like if I don't my world will come tumbling down but that's just not true. I matter too.

my greatest inspiration

Image
My greatest by far inspiration has to come from my sister. She is older than me and has been my best friend since the day I came into this world. She has tough me everything I know and has never not been by my side, the love I have for her is a love I hope everyone experiences in their life wither its with a sibling, parent, step parent, friend, and so on. She inspires me to strive for the best, push my limits, appreciate others for who they are, see beauty in something chaotic, forgive and love, and most of all she inspires me too be my raw, genuine self. I wish there was enough 'thank yous' in the world so that she might understand a sliver of my gratitude for her.

I recently bought this artist's print that I found on twitter and I chose that to explore 1min-at first I was draw to the body and the way it looked like it was wrapped around itself. I then noticed the plant growing the the top almost like the body is a vase but supporting the plants life, there is what looks to be a halo around the plant. going up from that I noticed the birds, the desert/dunes, and sea. 2min- There is actually a women sitting on the desert sand looking out into the distance, and the same halo that was around the leaves is also around the base of the body. In the lower left corner there are clouds and what looks like a moon with gives maybe some perspective on how high the dunes are. On top of that it looks like there are two suns, one in the back round and the other in the chest of the body where the heart would be. 5min- I thought there was only three hands but as I look at it more it looks like there might be 5. The painting is called "hold me" I bo...
